Life#
Every day I stare at the weather forecast, fearing that the weather for my scheduled climb of Haba Snow Mountain will worsen. I probably check the weather forecast no less than ten times a day, and it makes me anxious! With such intense weather watching, Haba Snow Mountain is closed!!!
I just bought climbing gear for the snow mountain, and now it's closed. I just finished my Double Eleven shopping, and now it's on pre-sale, what a huge loss! I comfort myself by thinking that I can still use it for skiing; with the snow mountain closed, I have more time to go to Lijiang and Shangri-La. I can only console myself this way.
Next week, I finally have my annual leave; it hasn't been easy.
Health#
Recently, I don't know why I've been increasingly disliking running. It might be because the weather has turned cooler, and I've been running less. After the last night climb, my right knee feels uncomfortable after running too much; after the last biking experience, my left arm feels strange when fully extended. I guess resting more will help.
On Sunday, I biked 40 kilometers round trip to play at Wucai Qianshan. I originally planned to try the "Two Steps" route, but ended up getting lost. I thought the navigation for "Two Steps" recommended a wild path, which led us to take a rocky dirt road instead of the well-paved cement and stone roads. It's really hard to explain, haha. In the end, since it was completely different from "Two Steps," we went straight to Xianjie Cave, which is really a big cave! I initially wanted to see the red leaves 🍁, but unexpectedly, the leaves were neither red nor yellow; they were still lush green. I climbed many steps, so I guess it counts as exercise.
Work#
This week had a major frustrating incident. During the pandemic, I suggested expanding capacity, but the leadership never allowed it. Now, finally, everyone can't use it, so what can we do? My conclusion is that if everyone leaves work on time, the equipment won't lag, haha. What could have been solved by spending money is now being pinched, haha.
Movies and Books#
I finished watching the Hong Kong drama "Invisible Warrior." Maybe it's because the foreign monk chants well, but I was deeply moved by the characters in the show who risk their lives to ensure the safety of the people. It feels very righteous. However, when watching domestic dramas, I find them incredibly hypocritical. I know that keyboard warriors ⌨️🦐 should go outside more, and they wouldn't have such narrow-minded thoughts as I do. I initially wanted to watch the horror movie "Some Substance," but I gave up because it was raw footage and the picture quality was very poor.
