- Identity — What kind of person do I want to become?
I want to become a person with strong technical skills and a side job.
I need to continuously learn and output in my side job.
Currently, I lack motivation to learn, and I treat my side job as just a task without putting in much effort. There is a significant gap; I need to learn every day and take my side job seriously.
-
Belief — What is most important to me?
What I should firmly believe is that effort will yield results.
My principle is that hard work will lead to results.
I believe more in long-termism; if the process is done well, the results will definitely be good. -
Needs — What do I need right now?
According to the life balance theory, I assess myself as an octagonal warrior.
It generally includes: self-actualization, career development, financial status, personal health, entertainment and leisure, family life, social interactions, and personal growth.
When making plans, I can achieve from these aspects; if one aspect is unbalanced, the plan can be drastically improved! Although the plan may not always be implemented. This can also help me step out of my comfort zone.
At this stage, I need to address career development, personal growth, personal health.
Career development — daily learning of professional knowledge.
Personal growth — read more books and set a reading list for 2025.
Personal health — continuous running and cycling. I have exercised too little in winter. -
Career — What is my career sweet spot?
What I enjoy doing is technical work.
I excel at repetitive tasks.
However, repetitive work doesn't allow me to earn money; I need to serve my leaders well, haha. -
Review — What have I accomplished in 2024?
2024 seems to have been unproductive; there hasn't been anything I've consistently pursued, perhaps still persisting with self-media.
The success factor in this endeavor is either my love for sharing or the self-driven nature of being an INTP, wanting financial freedom or worrying about future unemployment and starvation?
The shortcoming is that I still need to continuously strengthen my focus and take self-media seriously, really treating it as a backup plan.
The biggest failure in 2024 was not studying properly; I always made excuses for myself, even deceiving myself into thinking I didn't have time to study, when in fact I was very busy with work and had become too lax in my studies. -
Main Line — What is the one thing I most want to achieve in 2025?
Pass the CISSP exam and, if time allows, take the CKA exam. Because these two certifications allow me to learn new knowledge and gain certification, and can enhance my competitiveness in the workplace. -
Goals — How to set the goals for this matter?
I expect to complete this goal by June, requiring continuous learning. I will practice questions daily, treating question practice as the top priority. -
Plan — How to allocate time in the daily plan?
I must distinguish between what is urgent and what is important. Using a task list will help me pay more attention to this issue!
-
Results — Is the final result replicable?
If I achieve good results, I will continue to develop my work along this dimension next year or in the future. I am confident in short-term plans, but over time, I tend to procrastinate, so I need to closely monitor a detailed plan for implementation. Although plans may change, having a main line will help me better identify where I have deviated in life.
