5 Recommended Annual Apps for Mobile#
The number 5 is carefully considered; too many would not reflect an annual software, while too few might feel a bit sparse.
One Diary#
All platforms
One Diary is the software I use to write my weekly reviews, helping me input and organize a lot of text, making it a companion for growth. You don't have to use One Diary, but you should develop the habit of recording things in a timely manner.
I often struggle with whether to use Obsidian, Notion, TickTick, WPS Office, or Feishu for recording. Eventually, I decided not to overthink it; as long as I record, that's enough.
My most common workflow is: One Diary ➡️ Obsidian ➡️ WeChat Official Account/Notion/xlog
qireader#
All platforms
qireader remains the best RSS tool in my opinion. Through the web app, it can sync across three platforms, allowing me to sync reading records anytime and anywhere. This year, I read numerous RSS feeds with qireader, rarely checking push notifications; I can learn about the fields I care about through RSS. Moreover, the basic 30 subscriptions of qireader are sufficient for me; if I subscribe to too many, I won't be able to finish reading them, so 30 is just the right amount.
Xiaoyuzhou#
The Android version I use
I use Xiaoyuzhou because the books on Ximalaya are really poor, but it seems Ximalaya has recently changed its listening rules, and there are a few books available to listen to. I have been listening to Xiaoyuzhou when there weren't any good books on Ximalaya. I particularly enjoy listening to case explanations. I usually listen before bed, and occasionally while running or cycling.
Sixteen Fan#
The Android version I use
Sixteen Fan is a travel app that helped me plan my trips to Yunnan and Mount Tai using the new app. This app includes various guides near scenic spots or popular attractions. Xiaohongshu has a lot of traffic, making it hard to distinguish between true and false information; Sixteen Fan has splash ads, but most of the content is user-tested, reducing the experience of having to discern between promotional content and genuine recommendations.
Two Steps#
The Android version I use
Two Steps is an outdoor navigation app. I discovered this app during my first night hike up Dongling Mountain. Subsequently, I completed several personal solo hikes using this app, including Lijiang Ganheba hike, Jinhai Lake hike, Wucai Qianshan hike, and Mangshan Great Loop hike. Of course, I also plan to tackle Xiangbala and Sanfeng Loop, but since it's currently winter, the daytime is very short, and the temperature difference between day and night is significant.
Top 3 Annual Software for Desktop#
Doubao#
A useful AI tool; whenever I encounter a problem, I directly ask Doubao. It's convenient to call up, and the accuracy is good.
pixpin#
Currently, the best screenshot tool I've used, supporting GIF screenshots. Previously, I used Snipaste and Gifcam together to complete my screenshots and GIF recordings. Now, I only need pixpin to meet both of these needs.
TickTick#
TickTick is software I have always used; as a reminder app, it is really effective. I never think about things later; whenever I think of a problem, I record it in TickTick, and it reminds me when the time comes or in advance.
Top 5 Movies, TV Shows, and Books#
Movies#
Fast Life 2#
An encounter with my past self! Surpassing oneself, proving one's innocence.
The Grass and Wood Between#
A film about anti-fraud in pyramid schemes, with dramatic highs and lows; some scenes may be a bit uncomfortable.
Fight Club#
Similar to "The Wave," exploring self-identity.
We Shake the Sun Together#
The styling is very strange, the story is very 🔪, and the arm's ulcer looks too painful.
Cause and Effect#
A movie with many twists; it may be a bit uncomfortable for people with face blindness; I feel like all Indian men look the same. 😭
TV Shows#
Proposal War#
I never thought I would like rock music so much, but only the version of "Little Love Song," not the Aragaki Yui version. In fact, life has its signs; it just depends on whether these details are noticed.
Tang Dynasty Strange Stories#
A relatively good domestic detective drama, investigating cases under the name of Di Gong's disciples; many people have motives for committing crimes, making it very three-dimensional.
Running with the Good#
The sweetest drama of the year, also time-traveling and mutually protective.
The Unwanted Obsession Exorcist#
Using the power of words to resolve obsessions from life.
Fast Life Passion Edition#
Time-traveling or soul-switching to complete the race; indeed, racing is the best cosmetic surgery for men.
Top 5 Books#
The Mystery of the Haunted House 1, 2#
You can deduce that there is a problem with the house or that a murder has occurred just by the rental layout.
The Mystery of the Strange Painting#
By piecing together a few words and blogs, you can deduce the murder that occurred; I never imagined there could be such a deductive story.
The Southern Food Cult#
The victory of the glutton; the friendship of friends cannot be forgotten.
Lychee of Chang'an#
The history of the cold chain transportation of fresh goods; the friendship of friends cannot be forgotten! Remember to invite people to pick fruit and sing, or else they'll steal food!
Taibai Jinxing is a Bit Annoying#
A survival guide for working in the workplace: Blend in with the crowd, share the benefits, and everyone carries the sedan chair.
Random Chit-Chat#
Last year, I shared reviews monthly or weekly; although I was delayed in the last two weeks, I still feel a bit impressive that I could stick to this. Indeed, I am not a serious person; who keeps a diary seriously? Haha.
Travel Highlights#
I think it must be Shangri-La; I have been talking about Shangri-La, and it is truly beautiful! This is Shika Snow Mountain. Wishing everyone great wealth and good fortune in 2025, may everything benefit you!
Speaking of travel, I will definitely go to Shangri-La again! Baima Snow Mountain, Baishuitai, Nanjiluo, Peacock Mountain, Bottomless Lake, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Meili Snow Mountain, and Yubeng; I will definitely see them again if I have the chance!
