Life#
Life must be recorded more, otherwise, you won't know your own growth! Although I haven't really grown much. Looking back at the records from the previous TickTick
review is quite interesting, but later I switched to using a diary
because the recording format of TickTick
was rather monotonous. I've been using this diary for nearly a year, and it has helped me produce many weekly reports. Super grateful for a list!
Today I forgot my keys when I went out, which caused me to spend 13.06 + 12.91 + 14.52 + 2 = 42.49
Rounded up, it's 50 yuan. To punish myself, I will cycle a round trip distance that costs 100 yuan this weekend.
Let's analyze how this problem occurred:
- Last night, I finally got off work early, went for a long-awaited three-kilometer run, and forgot my keys.
- After returning, I casually placed my hat, which blocked the keys, and in the morning, I hurriedly left without noticing.
- I said I would bring medicine last night, but in the morning, I was in a rush and just left. I even checked my pocket in the morning but didn't realize I hadn't taken my keys and work card (the keys and work card are tied together).
- There was no emergency plan for not bringing the keys.
- I didn't leave early, which led to a hurried departure.
In light of this, I decided to leave at 8 o'clock on time in the future and create a to-do list before leaving. Check carefully:
- Keys
- Headphones
- Phone (almost forgot my phone)
Fix the positions of the keys and headphones to prevent them from being lost. At the same time, no other items are allowed to occupy the positions of the keys and headphones.
Health#
On Saturday, I caught a cold but still cycled about 30 kilometers on my newly bought Merida.
I also saw a little dog with a mop by the roadside.
On the road, I saw a large black plastic bag, and I thought it was a big black dog, haha.
After returning, I couldn't ride anymore and just lay in bed feeling unwell. The next day, Sunday, I couldn't stand it anymore and went to the hospital. That day I had a fever of 37.8 and rode my bike to the hospital. I felt completely out of it. I originally wanted to see a respiratory specialist, but there were no appointments available. I went to find a manual registration, and they registered me for a rehabilitation department. The rehabilitation doctor saw that I had a fever and suggested I go to the fever clinic. At the fever clinic, the doctor was shocked to learn that I had a cold and still rode my bike, reminding me never to do that again as it could easily lead to myocarditis
. I later searched for myocarditis, and it was really scary. When I was cycling yesterday, I thought, today one of us, either me or the virus, must die; if I can't outlast the virus, then let the virus outlast me. That was close; I almost got taken out by the virus.
Back to the hospital visit, the doctor ordered a routine blood test. I waited for a long time without results, while I saw others getting their results. I went to another machine to swipe my card, and it came out immediately. Awkward, my results came out at 10:13, and I was waiting until almost 11 before realizing I needed to get my results from another machine.
After getting my results, I went to see the doctor. While waiting in line, I saw my C-reactive protein level was 30, with a normal level being 10. I thought mine was a bit serious, but the doctor, while treating the patient before me, spoke loudly, "Your C-reactive protein is 10,000, and you’re not rushing to get an IV?" My goodness, it seems this C-reactive protein is going wild in this guy's body. I'm a medical layman, haha, and I don't know if this description is accurate.
Continuing with this cold and fever, after finding the doctor for a follow-up at noon, I got my prescription and went to the pharmacy to pick up the medicine, but I waited until after 1 PM and they still hadn't called me. I went to ask the staff at the window (some were on break during lunch) if my medicine was ready. The staff said no and then asked if it was prescribed from the fever clinic. I said yes, and they informed me that I needed to go to the emergency pharmacy to get my medicine. I then floated to the emergency pharmacy to get my medicine, packed it in my backpack, and then cycled home.
On Sunday, I took medicine all day and drank a lot of water, but my head hurt a bit. I thought it was just how this illness was; it felt just like having COVID. It started with a sore throat on Monday, then a runny nose on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a headache on Friday and Saturday, and finally feeling weak with a headache on Sunday. On Monday morning, I woke up feeling okay, thinking I hadn't showered in several days, so I decided to take a shower before work. Wow, after showering, I started feeling dizzy, and after brushing my teeth, I felt nauseous, sitting on the sofa feeling weak. I asked my boss for a day off and cooked a pot of rice porridge to eat all day. On Tuesday, I went back to work, but I still felt weak, quickly switching between standing, sitting, squatting, and walking, which all made me dizzy. I suspected it was a side effect of taking moxifloxacin hydrochloride. After taking this medicine at noon, my hands started shaking slightly. I don't know if it's because of this medicine, but I felt completely disoriented, like the descriptions in movies of being on drugs. When I tried to sleep, I couldn't feel the passage of time, thinking I hadn't fallen asleep, but when I looked at the clock, a lot of time had passed, and I had actually fallen asleep. Various abstract images appeared in my mind. == On the left is a mountain, on the right is a snowfield, the mountain keeps drilling into the snowfield, and the snowfield keeps covering the mountain. At the junction of the mountain and the snowfield, there are mosaics, and the folds at the junction look like an A4 paper being torn apart. == Speaking of which, this medicine really didn't kill the germs but almost killed me instead. I just had a cold, and they prescribed me a lot of bronchitis and phlegm medication.
Work#
"We are just ordinary people working to earn some money, so many things shouldn't be taken too seriously; just work hard during work hours and rest well after work. Some people say good things about you, while others say bad things. Always remind yourself that in the eyes of others, you are nothing. In front of your family, you are half the sky." — "Blossoms"
In the new year, if it's not a call from the boss, I won't answer; let others go directly to the boss, otherwise, the boss won't realize my importance!!!
I haven't done that; I'm still receiving calls until today.
Recent lessons learned at work:
You must be brave to refuse others; no means no.
Always copy the leader on matters to leave official evidence.
I can never finish my work every day; it's overwhelming!!!
I often sit at my workstation thinking, what is the meaning of working like this! This work is never-ending! I don't want to do it anymore!!!
I'm still working overtime at this hour! But I'm getting ready to leave, haha.
Just as I was about to leave, I received a call that kept me here. After getting home, I received another call, speechless 😅
I just saw on MaiMai that someone in the company asked how to get the big gift package, haha, I also want to get it; every day there are various work pressures, too much work and too little pay.
Technology and Software#
The "Set Intro and Outro" feature of Baidu Cloud
is very thoughtful, but not very useful. There is a delay in its settings, and the timing for the outro is also hard to set. It would be much better if the outro setting was based on how much time has passed rather than how much time is left because I have no idea how much time is left!
Movies, TV Shows, and Books#
Today I watched "Urban Ancient Immortal Doctor," an anime adapted from a 爽文 novel. I think I heard it on Ximalaya before, but I stopped listening when it started charging. This anime and 爽剧 are of the same nature; it's just 爽,but the audience for anime and 爽剧 might be different. Anime is more for young people, while 爽剧 is more for middle-aged people. And I am a middle-aged person who thinks of myself as young 😮💨
However, this type of 爽文 adapted into anime has another common point besides being 爽,which is that every episode starts by repeating the end of the previous episode; many TV shows do this.
"Otherworldly Sensation" is really good; it deserves to be from Jade Channel. I've always wanted to figure out what the people from the future are all about. It's somewhat similar to "Solar Stars," where you have only the answer part and are trying to find out how the process was achieved.
"White Night Dawn" feels very rushed at the end and isn't particularly good. Moreover, the cases in the second part are all quite bizarre, as they are committed over some very trivial matters.
"Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Pentagon" is an annual large-scale action comedy New Year's movie for me, haha.
"Iron Man" was watched for Ma Ming, and unexpectedly, I could also complain about "Heavenly Reversal Case," haha.
